Bad Weather Policy

snowman

In cases of severe weather the school will do its utmost to remain open and will only close in the most extreme circumstances. Closure is based on careful risk assessment and decision making with the Chair of Governors and the Local Authority.

If we are forced to close we will publicise this on our website and also  Essex County Council website will list the names of closed schools.  http://www.essex.gov.uk/Education-Schools/Schools/Dates/Pages/Emergency-School-Closures.aspx. The school should be regarded as open until you receive a text message from the school or it is announced on the website that the school is closed.
